BSC funds mobile clinics for zip codes 90011 and 90058. To locate a clinic near you click here. If there are no clinics near you, reach out to your local shelter and see if they will accept community cats for a spay/neuter.
If you do not have the means to bring your community cat in for their spay/neuter, you may be able to team-up with others in your community. Post on Nextdoor or neighborhood facebook groups to find a neighbor who may be willing to help you transport the cat.
No, we do not relocate community cats. It is inhumane and cruel to remove community cats from their neighborhoods and release them elsewhere. The most humane thing to do is to spay/neuter them and return them to their neighborhoods. If cats are removed from their outdoor home, it creates a “vacuum effect,” or territorial opening, in which new cats will then fill.
Our mobile clinics operate on Saturdays and Sundays. If you are in 90011 or 90058 please fill out our TNR help request form. If you are outside of our service area, the following clinics operate on weekends- Amazing Small Animal Practice (Gardena), Fixnation (Burbank), Spay4LA (mobile).
Please refer to our trap rental page for additional information by clicking here.
Depending on the clinic, vouchers may cover the cost of the spay/neuter. For voucher information, please click here.
Most nonprofits are staffed by volunteers (with day jobs) and are incredibly backlogged with help requests. By the time they may get back to you or be able to assist you with TNRing, you could have many more cats (and kittens) to fix. Bobbie’s Street Cats hopes to provide you with the resources, education and tools to spay and neuter cats in your neighborhood.
